Mathews has been building bows in Sparta, Wisconsin since 1992, and the Whitetail Hoodie wears that history openly—a hand-drawn buck across the back above the Mathews script and Sparta stamp, with one small arched badge on the left chest.
The weight is what sets it apart. At 12.5 oz, this cotton-poly fleece runs about half again as heavy as a standard hoodie—it hangs instead of clinging, blocks real wind, and holds its shape season after season. Cut boxy and relaxed with a double-layer hood that stands up when you pull it on. Camp coffee, the drive home, October range sessions, sheds in March.

Should I size up in the Mathews Whitetail Hoodie?
No. The hoodie is cut boxy and oversized by design, so your true size gives you the intended relaxed fit. Sizing up produces a baggy, longer drape most buyers do not want.
How heavy is 12.5 oz fleece compared to a normal hoodie?
A standard retail hoodie runs 8 to 9 oz per square yard. At 12.5 oz, the Whitetail Hoodie is roughly 40 to 55 percent heavier, placing it in the premium heavyweight tier.
Can I hunt in the Mathews Whitetail Hoodie?
It is not built for it—no scent control, no camo, and cotton-blend fleece holds moisture and dries slowly. Wear it for camp, the range, and the off-season, and use a purpose-built layering system in the stand.
Will the Mathews Whitetail Hoodie shrink?
Minimally. The 25% polyester limits shrinkage compared to 100% cotton. Wash cold and tumble dry low to protect the printed graphics.
